A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord

29/07/09 CMS League Div. 1 Team, St. Bernadette's
'B' will finish this season on Shevington Conservative Club green. Their
original home green at Whitehall has become a disaster area, constantly
waterlogged and unplayable. The parish council are trying to solve the
problem but as the weather isn't improving the situation, 3 home games
cancelled already, the team have reluctantly decided to move off the green
so as to complete the season before Winter. They have only managed to play 5
home games on the green (not half the season) therefore leaving 7 games to
play which could take them into October to complete the season. Shevington
Conservative Club have come to the rescue. At a cost of £75.00 they have
agreed St. Bernadette's 'B' could finish the season on their green.
Thankfully they have floodlights, so the August/September/October games will
still be playable on Tuesday Evenings. The bowlers are obviously disgruntled
at having to payout more money for their leisure activity but are grateful
to Shevington Conservative Club for their support. Chris. H.
13/07/09 Lancashire Juniors are through to the
